worldwide. Throughout this rich career as an attorney, strategy consultant and venture capitalist he demonstrated excellence, leadership and innovation that accelerated the growth of the hi-tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Palestine and among Palestinians.<br><br>  \n \nHabib co-founded Ibtikar Fund 1 in 2016, including establishment and fundraising, and actively managed its portfolio of 26 startups. <br><br> \n\nPrior to joining Ibtikar, Habib was the Co-Founder and Managing General Partner of Al-Bawader, of Pitango Group, a first of its kind USD 50 million venture capital fund investing in Palestinian founders. Prior to that Habib assumed leadership roles at McKinsey &amp; Co.; the leading business strategy consulting firm worldwide. Habib focused on growth strategy projects for telecom and financial service clients.  During this period he led non for profit organizations targeting diversity among Israeli hi-tech firms with the goal to integrate Palestinian citizens of Israel in their ranks. <br><br>     \n \nPreviously, Habib held consulting, strategic management and legal positions in Israel, the Palestinian territories and worldwide with IBM, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Adam Smith International and Elias D. Khoury Law offices. Habib has worked in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Africa and is well-regarded and connected in all these geographies. <br><br> \n \nHabib holds LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Hebrew Palestinian non-profit company focused on entrepreneurial development, Ambar grew PNB from an idea and a loose and small board leadership to an established Palestinian institution. Through PNB, Ambar organized the yearly Celebration of Innovation, a Palestine-wide competition of entrepreneurs, and the follow-up support to these entrepreneurs; as well as Global Entrepreneurship Week in Palestine. Through a partnership with Leaders Organization, Ambar also managed Palestine\u2019s first acceleration program, FastForward.<br><br>\n\nAmbar is a member of the 23rd class of Kauffman Fellows, and was named as one of the \u201c50 Most Influential Women in the Arab World\u201d by CEO Middle East Magazine and \u201c20 Women VCs of MENA\u201d by MENAbytes.<br><br>\n\nAmbar has an MBA from the General Manager (GM) in 2007; and has maintained the bank\u2019s strategic direction of sustained growth and expansion. During his tenure as Chairman and GM he helped in the institutionalization of the bank; bringing forth a value based approach to banking. The bank today has an active financial inclusion program focusing on providing banking services and financial awareness to women, Small Medium Enterprises and Youth. As a result, the bank has expanded its network and operating indicators becoming effectively the largest financial institution in Palestine. Today, with a focus on core banking services and innovative electronic solutions; Bank of Palestine is engaged in retail, corporate, SME &amp; Micro, and Diaspora banking operations. <br><br>\n\nIn 2017 and in an effort to enhance the bank\u2019s international expansion and in order to focus on the entire performance of the Bank\u2019s group of companies, Hashim Shawa became Chairman of Bank of Palestine Group and is no longer overseeing the Bank\u2019s operation as GM. Today the Bank of Palestine Groups consists of Arab Islamic Bank, the group\u2019s Islamic Banking arm, PalPay, the Groups Fintech and E payments solutions provider, and Al Wasata, the group\u2019s brokerage and portfolio investments arm. The Bank of Palestine Group role in developing the financial industry in Palestine was recognized by several key Banking Awards and memberships including membership in the Global Alliance for Banking on Values \u2013GABV.<br><br>\n\nAfter obtaining his BSc (Hons) from University College London, Shawa began his banking career at Citigroup in 1997 where he held various management positions in Corporate and Private Banking working in the UK, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. In Italy at Citigroup Shawa was in charge of the team responsible for helping in the country\u2019s transition from the Lira to the Euro. In 2005 he joined HSBC in Switzerland as a director of the group\u2019s Middle East and North Africa business. His role was to develop the company\u2019s Private Banking business in the Gulf and establish HSBC\u2019s onshore presence in Kuwait.<br><br>\n\nShawa is also the Chairman of the boards of directors of Al-Wasata Securities Company; PalPay E-Payment Solutions Company and Ibtikar Innovation Fund. Shawa is a member of the Emerging Markets Advisory Council at the International Institute of Finance Washington DC, Association of Banks in Palestine, and the board of Pharmacare Pharmaceuticals PLC. Shawa is a member of the board of trustees of Bethlehem University;the Palestine Studies Institute and the World Economic Forum in Geneva.<br><br>\n\nHe was recognized as one of the 50 most influential leaders in finance and banking according to the Global Finance Magazine in 2015; in addition to best CEO in the Middle East by EMEA Finance for the year companies in setting up financial projections, and networking with peers in the startup ecosystem.<br><br>\n\n\nPreviously, he played a crucial role as part of the founding executive team at Palestine Techno Park, where he oversaw finance and administrative management while also successfully managing and executing various projects implemented by the organization.<br><br>\n\n\nHe always plays a pivotal role in supporting, developing, and showcasing the competitive edge of Palestine's entrepreneurs while providing essential assistance to Palestinian youth. He actively participated in THE NEXT SOCIETY Regional Entrepreneur Mentoring Program by Mowgli Mentoring. Moreover, he founded a new hub for the Global Shapers called Birzeit Hub, that aims to drive impactful solutions and innovative ideas to address critical global concerns.<br><br>\n\n\nMustafa recently earned a certificate as an Expert in Digital Finance from Frankfurt Business School. Khouri, a Palestinian- American born in Jaffa, Palestine is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The National Beverage Company (the Coca-Cola exclusive licensee for Palestine). Mr. Khouri is an active Middle East businessman and holds a number of executive positions and Board Memberships including the Chairman of Jerusalem Development and Investment Co (Jedico), and Intram Investments Inc. in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Khouri serves as Board Member of Palestine Development &amp; Investment Co (Padico), the largest Palestinian holding Co. and Palestine Telecommunication Company (Paltel). In the UAE, Mr. Khouri is a Board member of Rasmala Holding Co.<br><br>\n\nMr. Khouri holds the position of Chairman in NGO Development Center in Jerusalem (NDC) and the Chairman of Dar Al Kalima College in Bethlehem.<br><br>\n\nMr. Khouri was an Executive Board Member of the Olayan Group and CEO of the Olayan Saudi Holding Co. in Saudi-Arabia and USA for over 20 years. Moreover, Mr. Zahi Khouri was Paltel Excom Chairman from 1\/2001 till 5\/2004 and Jawwal Chairman from 25\/3\/2001 till 9\/3\/2005.\nMr. Khouri is a recipient of the Business for Peace Award 2015, Oslo, Norway and the merit of the \u201cCavaliere\u201d from the Republic of Italy. He is also a finalist in the Global Thinkers Forum for 2017. He is a key founder and general partner of the first innovation fund in Palestine, the Ibtikar Fund.<br><br>\n\nMr. Khouri received an MBA from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD), Fontainebleau, France and an MSc in Engineering from the Technische Hochschule in Stuttgart, Germany.
